Reasons for Inaction & Inefficiency of Intl Organizations in Providing Aid to Gaza

Strategic Council Online: An expert on regional issues said: With the start of the Gaza war, many major powers and international organizations not only did not take honest action to support the defenseless Palestinian people, but instead, with their support for the actions of the Zionist regime, they caused their crimes to increase over the past five months.

In an interview with the website of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, Jafar Qanadabashi stated: What happened after October 7 was that the Zionist media quickly turned the facts and successes of Hamas in attacking the security, intelligence, and military structure of the Israeli regime upside down and using the media at their disposal around the world pretended that the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm was a criminal operation that caused the brutal killing of Israeli settlers, but later these claims were found to be false.

Pointing out that from the very beginning, international organizations adopted a wrong approach to protecting human rights, Qanadbashi explained: “UNRWA is one of the UN organizations that Palestinians have sought refuge in its schools many times, but they were attacked by the Israeli regime. Many of them were martyred, but the United Nations did not react appropriately, while it should have taken effective positions regarding the UNRWA centers and schools in Gaza.

According to this expert, the United Nations has not made enough efforts to remove the restrictions on delivering food and medicine to Gaza. He said about the shortcomings of international organizations: “The shortcoming of international organizations, especially the United Nations, is so obvious that today it has provoked many protests in various countries, and many elites, media lords, and those involved in political centers have openly voiced protest and criticism for this lack of work and neglect of international organizations and every day that passes, their criticisms get stronger.”

Qanadbashi continued: “Of course, in taking a position and commenting on the crimes of the regime, the UN officials, as well as officials of the organizations under the world body, have taken several steps and, in some cases, have joined the group of critics and protestors against these crimes. However, no practical action has been taken by these organizations to prevent the continuation of these crimes, and specifically, the Hague Court, despite the existence of sufficient arguments to condemn the Israeli regime for committing genocide, has not made a clear and favorable decision regarding South Africa’s request for establishing a ceasefire.

Regarding the reasons for these position takings, Qanadbashi said: “The reasons for such reactions on the part of international organizations are apparent, and perhaps the main reason is the philosophy of existence and the goals and motivations of establishing these organizations, which were initially created to protect the interests of the founding powers, which is a clear sign of the existence of the Veto Right, namely the Security Council.

He continued: “This means that wherever the founding powers and superpowers who are permanent members of the Security Council see a decision of this organization against their positions and interests, they stand against it.”

The expert on Middle East issues pointed out that there are other reasons for the inaction of international organizations and emphasized: “Part of it is due to the dependence of the media on the Zionist circles and the rich Israelis at different world levels who constantly make the realities of Gaza look upside down, and they repeatedly call the actions of the Israeli regime as self-defense, and as a result, they justify the killing of children and commit other crimes.

H continued: “Actually, as a result of the repeated and widespread actions of such affiliated media, the widespread propaganda wave that has formed has changed the political and propaganda atmosphere as much as possible.”

Qanadbashi stated that the reason for the continued crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza is the policy of some Arab governments, which, from the point of view of Wahhabism, do not see any success for the Brotherhood groups that consider Hamas to be one of its branches. Therefore, in this field, they try to help and exonerate the Zionist regime in various ways.

He added: “In this regard, their help in creating multiple corridors to deliver fuel and other necessities to the Zionist regime is one of the clear signs of this anti-Brotherhood policy of some reactionary Arab governments.”

Netanyahu’s War Cabinet’s Efforts to Divert Public Opinion from The Gaza War

Strategic Council Online – Opinion: The Zionist regime is trying to “psychologically exploit” the recent events in the region to divert the world public opinion from the crimes this regime is committing in Gaza.
