Strategic Council Online - Interview: An expert on West Asian issues said: Bezalel Smotrich, the Minister of Finance of the Zionist regime, has repeated one old claim of the Zionists to create a land from the Nile to the Euphrates as the future plan of the Israeli regime and said: "I clearly state that we want a Jewish state that includes Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon!

In an interview with the website of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, Jafar Qanadbashi stated: “This idea was proposed since the formation of a trend called Zionism; That is, at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, coinciding with the World War I, the Zionists put forward the mythical idea of the Promised Land and mentioned the establishment and rebuilding of the structure in Al-Aqsa Mosque as their main slogan.

According to this expert, at the same time as the flood of immigration to the Occupied Territories began, the goal of forming a Greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates was placed on the agenda of global Zionism.

He added: “Therefore, the idea of occupying Palestine and development of Zionist lands that has been formed among the Zionists for decades and has gradually led to the immigration of Jews to the Palestinian lands and then the formation of a fake Zionist state.”

On the popularity of this idea, Qanadbashi explained: “This concept has supporters among religious Zionists and those with extreme religious beliefs, including those who follow the Jewish religion, but a large part of society that has socialist and leftist tendencies or is less religious doesn’t believe much in such an idea.”

The expert on West Asian issues continued: “Zionist extremists succeeded in attracting the funds of wealthy Jews in all corners of the world by telling lies about the Promised Land or the formation of Greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates.” These slogans have continuously provided financial support and publicity for Zionists all over the world in different situations.

He added: “In the region, too, the belief in Zionism and the Promised Land has always been tried to be exploited as the most pivotal movement. For the same reason, they have sought to implement the Judaization scheme in this city and nearby settlements after occupying Bait ul Moqaddas.

“Also, don’t ignore the international protests and even the international resolutions that have declared at least half of Jerusalem occupied. They have also ignored

international protests and even the international resolutions that have declared at least half of Jerusalem occupied.”

Qanadbashi emphasized: “Based on this policy of forming a Greater Israel (the Nile to Euphrates), they ignore the UN resolutions that consider the West Bank and the Golan region occupied and are trying to make these two areas occupied in 1967 to annex to the territory of occupied Palestine. Of course, other policies of Zionists based on compromise with Arab countries and even Ibrahim’s peace plan are also based on this Zionist policy of Greater Israel and have been put on the agenda of the Zionist regime. »

Regarding the achievements of the extreme Zionists in these years to advance this idea to such things as attracting international aid continuously by raising the issue of the Promised Land, they were abusing the belief of wealthy Jews all over the world, attracting immigrants based on the belief in the formation of a Greater Israel and finally defending the Zionist regime and defending against the Palestinians.

This expert added: “Highlighting the motivation to form a Greater Israel and the restoration of the temple building is among the strong and great motivations to increase the strength of the Israelis to fight against the Palestinians.”

In response to how the countries of the region should deal with this expansionist idea, Qanadbashi said: “If the countries of the region only follow the implementation of the same international laws and UN resolutions, it is a suitable approach to deal with the aggressive policies of the Zionist regime. According to UN resolutions, the West Bank and Golan are considered occupied areas, and even in the latest case, the Hague International Court has asked the Israeli regime to withdraw from these areas within one year. Therefore, the countries of the region can take advantage of the UN resolutions as well as the judgment of the Hague International Court to put pressure on the Zionist regime from a legal point of view.”
