Khorramshad at the meeting on “Roots and Consequences of Anti-Islamism in West”:

West considers Islamic civilization as its serious rival

Strategic Council Online: A university professor stated that Western civilization is a civilization “living in crisis” and said: The West considers Islamic civilization as a serious rival, and it seems that the West is trying to push its rivals towards violence, so the strategy of Muslims should be to keep the atmosphere in the world calm and stable as much as possible so that the opportunity to transmit the message of Islam is provided more; because in commotions, natures get agitated and do not receive the messages.

According to the website of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, Dr. Mohammad Baqer Khorramshad, who spoke at the specialized meeting on “Roots and Consequences of Anti-Islamism in the West” which was organized by the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, while emphasizing the need to pay attention to the goals of those who insult the Holy Quran and those provoking Islamophobia, raised questions about the objectives and causes of Islamophobia and clarified: If they say that Islamic civilization has left the cycle of civilization and has declined, they should leave it alone so that it will disappear if it continues this way! So why do they not abandon this declining civilization and create a phenomenon aimed at Islamophobia every day? Why does Western civilization consider Islamic civilization as its civilizational rival and does not confront other rival civilizations in such an aggressive manner?

He added: In the project of Islamophobia, the West went to the limit of creating ISIS from within Islam to institutionalize the foundations of Islamophobia within Islam and make it appear natural. To understand why the West does not stop Islamophobia, one must pay attention to the two civilizations’ content and intellectual and theoretical foundations.

The university professor stated that the view of Islamic civilization on human beings and the world is two-dimensional. In contrast, the idea of the West is one-dimensional and continued: Over the past few centuries, the lack of attention of Western civilization to the other dimensions of human beings has emerged, and the prepared message that can fill this vacuum is what is found in Islam. Islam does not need to rebuild itself. This message of the Holy Quran fills the void created for human beings. Because the West insists that civilization is possible by giving originality to matter, removing spirituality, and seeing its success in it. At the same time, Islam is the messenger of matter and meaning in existence.

Khorramshad emphasized: For this reason, the West considers Islamic civilization a serious rival. Instead of competing with it, it tries to close the ears and the eyes of the listeners in fear of Islam in a hostile and elimination competition. Therefore, they are worried that if Islam can establish a civilization today such as the one yesterday, which can simultaneously respond to the material and spiritual needs of humans, it could be the beginning of the end of Western civilization, which was created due to ignoring a part of human nature, which is spiritualism, that the West has suppressed.

Saying that Islamic civilization should consider six strategies to encounter this measure, and said: Since one of the goals of Islamophobia is to prevent the message of Islam from being delivered, it should be done in such a way that the world could hear this message. The main fear is the spread of this message. The mere conveying of this message is the target and can invalidate the magic of Islamophobia.

The university professor added: Based on experience, it can be claimed that Western civilization is a civilization “living in crisis.” In the current situation, the West seems to be trying to push its rivals toward violence. Therefore, the strategy of Muslims should be to make the atmosphere in the world calm and stable as much as possible so that the opportunity to spread the message of Islam will be provided. In commotions, natures get agitated and do not get the messages. Of course, this does not negate firm and decisive action.

Saying that this attack has created an opportunity for Islamic civilization to become one of the foundations of Muslim identity in today’s world and to create civilizational awareness among Muslims, Khorramshad noted: If the promotion of civilizational thinking among Muslims is encouraged, it will push back the Islamophobic people step by step.

Referring to the capabilities of the virtual space and the role of the media in conveying the message of Islam on a broad scale, he stated: Since the Holy Quran, like the Kaaba, is one of the rare things that Muslims do not have doubts and disagreements about, the attack on the Holy Quran can serve as a factor for the unity of Muslims.

The university professor referred to the need to popularize the opposition in the Islamic world to deal with the repetition of such attacks and added: The rise of the masses of Muslim people will force the attackers and ill-wishers to retreat, and considering the sensitivities of the Muslim people in this regard, there is this possibility to popularize and spread the opposition.
