Dr. Kharrazi Meets Iraq’s President; Iran-Iraq Strategic Cooperation Reviewed

Strategic Council online: Dr. Seyyed Kamal Kharrazi, the President of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, who has traveled to Iraq, met with Mr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, the President of Iraq, on Monday, June 29.

In the meeting, the two countries’ strategic cooperation, especially at the regional level, was discussed, opinions were exchanged, and the necessity of expanding this cooperation was emphasized.

Expressing his satisfaction with establishing stability and peace in Iraq following the formation of the new government, Dr. Kharazi expressed his hope that increasing governmental and people’s dialogue and interactions at the strategic level will lead to positive and stable developments in the region.

Dr. Kharazi, who heads a delegation visiting Iraq since Sunday, is meeting and discussing with Iraqi officials and figures, leaders of political groups, and thinkers in various fields.
