Speaking in an interview with the website of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, Dr. Kamal Kharazi praised the role of Martyr Qasem Soleimani (Qods Force Commander) in supporting the Islamic Resistance Forces in other countries and said: We are witnessing the power of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas and the Islamic Movement in Palestine, the Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) in Iraq, the Popular Resistance in Syria and Ansarollah in Yemen, which play an important role in the fight against aggressors and foreign occupiers.
Lebanon’s Hezbollah has been able to defend Lebanon against Israeli aggression, the Islamic Resistance in Palestine has succeeded in disappointing the Israeli army in achieving its aggressive goals, and the Syrian Popular Resistance has been able to defeat the terrorist groups. Hashd al-Shaabi, while defeating ISIS, has forced the American aggressors to decide on leaving Iraq. Yemen’s Ansarollah has also rendered the Saudi coalition military machine ineffective and continues to make its strategic progress.
The SCFR President further noted: Alongside these original movements, some groups were formed by foreigners in line with their wicked goals to invade Islamic countries with an aim to disintegrate those countries and abuse the people’s religious beliefs for their illegitimate goals. In this regard, groups such as ISIS were created in Iraq and Syria at the initiative and with the support of the United States and certain Arab countries, in serving the interests of the usurper regime of Qods. Undoubtedly, those recruited by these groups enter the fray based on their religious beliefs, without being aware of the nature of those groups and the intentions of their supporters.
As for the Taliban, Dr. Kharazi said: It is premature to talk about the Taliban movement; because of their past behavior in killing various Afghan ethnic groups and their intrusion into the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Consulate in Mazar-i-Sharif and martyring Iranian diplomats, despite the assurances given by both their leaders and the Pakistani government to Iran, will never be forgotten by the Afghans and the Iranians who lost their beloved ones; but if the Taliban while in power in Afghanistan shows that it will ensure the rights of various Afghan ethnic groups and minorities by forming an inclusive government, preserve the country’s independence and thwart presence and infiltration of foreign powers in the country, in that case, it will be welcomed by the Islamic Resistance Front.
In conclusion, the SCFR president said: Regardless of the differences the Islamic Resistance forces may have in religious perceptions, strategies, and ways of resistance, they all pursue one goal and that is fighting the occupiers, saving Islamic countries from foreign domination, and forming independent governments based on the Islamic law. This irreplaceable move is going to change the geopolitical situation of the region, and countries of the region, instead of relying on foreign forces, should rely on the strength of their own people who based on their religious beliefs are ready to stand selflessly to defend their values and maintain their country’s independence.
