Strategic Council Online - Interview: An expert on West Asia affairs, stating that the Zionist regime by entering Al-Aqsa Mosque seeks to change the Islamic nature and legal and historical status of the mosque, said: Such measures will pave the way for new plans by the Resistance.

Asghar Zarei, in an interview with the website of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, referred to the raid of the Zionist military on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the recent clashes with the Palestinians in the West Bank and said: With the start of actions in recent weeks, which led to several martyrdom operations in which a large number of Zionist agents were killed and injured, as well as the pressure of the settlers with the support of the regime’s intelligence and military agents to counter the Palestinian and Resistance movements and hindering their religious ceremonies in the Qubbat as-Ṣakhra (Dome of the Rock) and the areas of Holy Quds, we are witnessing an escalated fear and panic of the Zionist regime.

Vulnerability, passivity in decision-making centers of Zionist regime

Saying that the roaring of the Resistance movement in recent months has caused a kind of vulnerability and passivity in the regime’s decision-making centers, he added: The stretching of those rallies and protests from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank and even to the Jewish areas in the depths of the occupied territories and creation of resistance and martyrdom operations in very sensitive areas of Tel Aviv show that the security and vulnerability holes of the Zionist regime have greatly increased.

The expert on West Asia affairs pointed to the pressure of the world public opinion on the Zionist regime and the support of some athletes from different countries for the Palestinian Resistance and continued: Such developments show that a kind of awareness towards the Resistance and the Palestinian people has taken shape and that disgust with the Zionist regime is increasing. Under such circumstances, the more the regime suppresses, the more it collapses.

Zarei said: Even the pressures that have been formed in the name of anti-Semitism in very restrictive laws in Western countries have not prevented them from expressing their views on the Holocaust and the oppression of the Palestinian people and the cruelty inflicted on them by the Zionist regime.

Saying that the volume of crimes committed by the Zionist regime, which are constantly published on social networks and make the people of the world aware of their violent crimes, has increased attention to the oppression of the Palestinian people, he added: The Zionist regime thought that by normalizing relations with some Arab countries, and unfortunately the silence and betrayal of the Arab leaders towards the Palestinian cause and the liberation of Quds, they could prevent the Resistance from moving or slowing it down; but today, on the contrary, we are witnessing the widespread and courageous presence of the Palestinians in various areas of Resistance and demonstrations in the countries in support of them.

Emphasizing that the Zionist regime is afraid of the escalation of the conflict after the Al-Aqsa Mosque incident, the expert on West Asia affairs said: The Palestinian Resistance forces have repeatedly warned that they will respond if the attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque continue. In recent days, one of the regime’s security officials has advised that under the current situation attacking the Al-Aqsa Mosque should be refrained as much as possible.

Noting that such actions of the Zionist regime are a sign of accelerating the process of its demise, Zarei said: By entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Zionist regime seeks to change the Islamic nature of the mosque and its legal and historical status. This issue has met with a strong reaction from Muslims and some countries. Such actions will pave the way for new plans by the Resistance and deal a heavier blow to the Zionist regime, as we saw last year, the battle of Saif al-Quds took place following a rally called the “Flags” and dealt a severe blow on the Zionists.

He referred to the protests made by some Zionist extremists against Bennett’s decision to stop the entry of Jews to Al-Aqsa Mosque from next Friday until the end of Ramadan, and continued: Given the events at Al-Aqsa Mosque and the announcement of the suspension of the “Arab Joint Party” led by Mansour Abbas which has four seats at the Knesset, the Naftali-Bennett government is in fact embroiled in a political crisis that is even being interpreted as the beginning of the collapse of the government. Such adventures, which force him to retreat, add to those gaps; at the same time, we are witnessing economic problems in that regime.

Referring to Jordan’s protest statement that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is exclusively a place of worship for Muslims and the widespread protests by Muslims over attempts to change its nature, the West Asia affairs analyst said: The Zionist regime is also concerned about the formation of those protests from within the occupied territories, as we have seen before when the Arabs of the 1948 territories joined the Palestinian protests.

Zionist regime’s concern over Palestinians Residing in Occupied Territories

He stressed: The Zionist regime knows that the Resistance Front against them is not limited to the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank and the Palestinians living in the heart of the occupied territories are also ready to actively enter the field if the conflict escalates.

Zarei explained: In fact, today the discussion of Resistance is not limited to the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and in the occupied territories of 1948, we also see Arabs and the residing Palestinians have moved and show their protests with occasional rallies and actions. Although the Zionist regime did not comply with the 1968 resolution issued by the United Nations after the Six-Day War, which obliged the regime to return to the occupied territories before 1967, today the situation for this regime in those areas is very fragile and the Arabs enjoy high capacity for protest movements.

The West Asia affairs expert, saying that launching rockets deep into the occupied territories have raised security and defense concerns of the Zionist regime and that we are witnessing a new wave of reverse migration, added: In recent days, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance has fired more than 30 rockets into the sea in the form of an exercise, and in fact, we are witnessing significant changes in the defense and military equations of the Resistance. For the first time, the Resistance used shoulder-fired weapons against the aggressor fighters of the Zionist regime, and those new facilities make the Resistance to be continued in new dimensions.

Zarei added: The presence of Rezvan battalions of experienced and trained forces of Hezbollah has also caused more concern for that regime and today, more than ever, it finds itself in a tight security situation.

Solution to Get Out of FATF Blacklist and Get Rid of Its Heavy Costs?

Strategic Council Online – Opinion: The Financial Action Task Force, FATF, announced on Friday, February 23, that the name of the Islamic Republic of Iran remains on the “blacklist” of this international organization. A decision that was not unexpected for the authorities of our country. According to the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, one day before the release of the FATF statement, due to the current sanctions, Iran is looking for its own FATF, as it uses other tools instead of SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications). On this basis, it seems that while the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon were removed from the “Grey List” of FATF in the previous reviews in June 2024, the Islamic Republic of Iran is not trying to be exempted from the blacklist. But what kind of organization is FATF, and why are some in Iran against joining it? And what is the way out of this situation?
