The wave of their emigration from all over the world to Palestine began in 1881, and Arthur James Balfour’s letter to the prominent Jewish statesman Walter Rothschild on 2 November 1917 accelerated the wave. The then British Foreign Secretary stated in this letter the determination of Britain to establish a national home for Jewish people in Palestine.
At the next step, on November 29, 1947, the United Nations divided Palestine into two Arab and Jewish sections, and eventually, on May 14, 1948, Ben-Gurion officially proclaimed the independence of Israel and thus the land of an independent nation was invaded and a new fake state was created.
Right after this, the suffering of the Palestinians began, and most of them were forced to leave their homeland. Now, according to the United Nations Special Relief and Work Agency, more than seven million Palestinian refugees live in camps in most difficult circumstances.
The fact is that during the last 70 years, it was only the popular resistance that did not allow the complete stabilization of Israel’s position in all areas of the land. Though thousands of Palestinian youth were martyred during the resistance, at the same time, the very youth inflicted heavy blows on the Zionists during these years and did not allow them to rest in peace. Firing just over 600 missiles into the occupied territories over the past week was one of these blows on the Zionists in response to their aggression.
The Zionists now see the Resistance as a great barrier against their occupation, and they use all the means to stop this trend, the Deal of the Century is one of them. Trump and his son-in-law Kushner, Europeans, and some reactionary Persian Gulf states are among the main actors in the implementation of the Deal of the Century.
Several months ago, various media exposed part of the Deal of the Century, but in the latest one, the Israeli newspaper ‘Israel Hayom’ has published newer and more interesting details of the agreement. The paper says that after the deal is signed the Palestinians will not be allowed to buy Jewish homes, the area of Zionist settlements will be stretched, Qods will be shared between the two sides, and the Israeli municipality will be responsible for all areas of the city, and the New Palestinian Authority will pay taxes and water costs to the Zionists.
These, however, are not all the hostile clauses in this agreement, and they have considered interesting cases to disarm the Resistance. They say the New Palestine will not be allowed to create an army. The only weapons it will be allowed to possess will be light weapons for the police. The Palestinians also will have to pay Israel to defend them against foreign aggression. The cost of this payment must be determined in negotiations between the parties which would be mediated by the supporting states. Hamas will deposit all its weapons, including personal arms, with the Egyptian authorities.
But the arrogant spirit of this agreement becomes more evident where they say if Hamas and the PLO refuse to sign the agreement the US will cancel all financial support to the Palestinians and ensure that no country transfers funds to them.
On the other hand, studying the details of the Deal of the Century shows that its acceptance by the popular Resistance and the creation of a new Palestine is not a success for them and their independence, since this will, in fact, be a plan for the continued occupation of the Zionists in a new way, while safeguarding the formerly occupied territories and stretching the settlements.
Also, according to the Deal of the Century, the Palestinians have to rent new land from Egypt to build an airport and factories while losing their lands! The borders of these lands and leasing price will be determined between the two parties through the mediation of the supporting countries.
It must be noted that the US will pay 20% of the cost for such projects and the EU 10%, while oil-producing Persian Gulf states will fund 70%, which will be determined by oil revenues of the countries. To return this money each of these countries will make efforts and this will create a kind of affiliation in the “New Palestine”.
The study of West’s records in the face of countering free and anti-imperial societies in the world has shown that they have always used all the means of pressure to suppress these societies, and the policy of confrontation with Iran over the past years are in the same line. Today too, in compliance with their unilateral policies, they say that if the Palestinians do not accept the Deal of the Century, not only they would not help them, but will prevent any assistance from elsewhere until they accept their terms.
