Hamid Khoshayand – an expert on regional issues
The Zionist regime has attributed this incident to Hezbollah and is trying to turn it into a factor for inciting and intensifying military, political, and international measures against the Lebanese resistance.
Regarding the recent actions and movements of the Zionist regime against the Hezbollah, there are points to consider, the most important of which are discussed below:
One, Hizballah’s participation in the fight between the Palestinians and the Zionist regime in Gaza is obvious and without consideration, and it enjoys the declared, transparent, and responsible field and military dimensions.
In this regard, it should be pointed out that although the operational range of Hezbollah’s missiles extends deep into the occupied territories and Tel Aviv and can target any point at any time and kill tens or even hundreds of people. Still, Hezbollah adheres to the moral and human values of war and observes the rules of the conflict.
Two, Hezbollah’s entry into the battle of Gaza from the northern front, where a large number of Israeli air bases are located, has caused a large part of the armored force, about three divisions, and 30% of the air war capability of the usurper regime, to be grounded in this area.
In addition to the strategic consequences in the military, security, political, economic, population, etc., this issue has caused the Zionist army to wear out in other regions and has faced this regime with a crisis of manpower shortage. At the same time, a major part of the field and political calculations of the Zionist regime is messed up with Hezbollah’s operational strategies and tactics, not only in Gaza but in the entire occupied Palestine and the region.
Three, the capacities and capabilities that Lebanon’s Hezbollah has brought to the field in the scene of developments in Palestine and Gaza, along with the efforts of Palestinian groups, especially Hamas and Islamic Jihad, are one of the main factors in the failure of the Zionist regime’s declared and practical goals in the Gaza war.
Currently, Tel Aviv assesses that to break the people’s endurance and hope and leave the Gaza swamp, in the first step, it has no choice but to create a breathing space in the northern front. Therefore, weakening the position and presence of Hezbollah in the north of occupied Palestine and destroying its internal and regional image have been put on the agenda.
Fourth, the probability of the conspiracy against Hezbollah being successful is close to zero. First, the Zionist regime, which has lost an important part of its combat and operational capabilities in Gaza and today is faced with an exhausted and troubled army and a confused policymaking process, lacks the necessary capabilities to start a large-scale, new, and serious war with the Hezbollah. The most precise interpretation in this regard was given by Yoav Gallant, the war minister of the regime, that any possible war, regardless of whether it is limited or widespread, will open the “doors of hell” to Israel.
Secondly, the reaction of the people of the Golan, as well as the leaders of the Druze community, public opinion, and Lebanese politicians to this incident restrained the Zionist regime’s sedition from the occupied Golan region.
For example, we can refer to the positions of the political and spiritual leaders of the Druze, including “Walid Jumblat,” the former head of the Progressive Socialist Party of Lebanon, “Talal Arslan,” the head of the Democratic Party of Lebanon, Sheikh “Amin Al-Sayek,” the prominent representative of the Druze in Lebanon, and Sheikh “Youssef Jarbou.” the representative of the Druze community in Syria pointed out that they warned about sedition by the Zionist regime and by rejecting the accusations of this regime against the Hezbollah in the Majdal Shams incident, they emphasized that “resistance is the only way to protect the people and Hezbollah never exceeds the rules of the conflict and under no circumstances will target civilians.”
We should also mention the positions and efforts of Walid Jumblat, the most prominent Druze leader, who played an effective role in adopting “aligned positions” among the Druzes to support Hezbollah and resist the recent Zionist conspiracy.
It is worth mentioning that Walid Jumblatt, who previously had many political differences with Hezbollah, has always defended Hezbollah and its performance in this battle since the beginning of the Lebanese resistance in the Battle of al-Aqsa, and he has adhered to his supportive position in the recent sedition as well.
The adoption of such positions by Jumblatt and other Druze leaders is “important” from the point of view that the Zionist regime had opened a “special account” on them in inciting public opinion and political currents against the Lebanese resistance.
In any case, the recent conspiracy of the Zionist regime against Hezbollah was not only “ridiculous” but failed from the beginning. It was designed based on incorrect calculations. The residents of the occupied Golan Heights are supporters of the resistance of Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon, so the Zionist regime can never put them in front of the resistance front.
The resistance front has long passed the stage where the regime could create a “rift” within it. The Zionist regime has no choice but to end the war in Gaza. The war in Gaza and its continuation will eventually cause a “big rebellion” inside occupied Palestine against the Zionist regime’s rule, and the consequences of the Gaza war will be far more profound and more extensive for this criminal regime.
