In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Greetings and Salutations to the Esteemed Hezbollah,
The valiant warriors of Hezbollah in Lebanon have shone brightly in their confrontation with the heavily armed and aggressive Israeli forces. Despite the martyrdom of His Eminence Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the late Secretary-General, and other senior commanders of Hezbollah, the organization swiftly restructured its chain of command. It demonstrated remarkable resilience, ultimately defeating the aggressors.
Today, the people of Lebanon—whether Shia, Sunni, Christian, or Druze—celebrate this victory in defense of their homeland. They take pride in the capabilities of their compatriots, who thwarted the Zionist regime’s military objectives, despite its extensive resources and the support it receives from the United States and Europe. This victory effectively nullified its nefarious intent to undermine the resistance in Lebanon.
The Strategic Council on Foreign Relations extends its heartfelt congratulations on this triumph to the people of Lebanon, the region, and the Islamic world. The Council salutes the courageous fighters of Hezbollah and prays for the exaltation of the martyrs of this conflict and the swift recovery of the wounded.
The steadfast defense of the region’s people against the brutal aggressions of the Israeli regime—whether in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, or Iraq—has demonstrated that when a nation’s defense is rooted in faith in God, coupled with fearlessness in the face of martyrdom and a commitment to religious convictions, no power can defeat them. This resilience endures, even in the face of atrocities such as destruction, mass killings, genocide, displacement, and starvation inflicted upon them.
The heinous crimes of the Zionist regime and its supporters since October 7, 2023, have awakened the global conscience. Public opinion worldwide, including among American Jewish youth, increasingly disassociates itself from this bloodthirsty regime. They find it intolerable that their taxes fund weapons for such a regime, which stands accused of heinous acts against children and faces international arrest warrants for its leaders.
