In the name of Allah, the Merciful
“Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah; some of them have completed their vow, and others await their turn, and they have not changed in the least.”
(Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:23)
The Strategic Council on Foreign Relations expresses its profound condolences on the martyrdom of Seyyed Hashem Safieddine, a tireless and dedicated fighter, to his family, the people of Lebanon, and all Islamic nations. As the head of the Executive Board of Hezbollah, Martyr Safieddine played a crucial role in steering the course of Hezbollah’s affairs, particularly after the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah. His leadership continued until the last moments of his life, which he devoted to the resistance.
Martyr Safieddine ultimately fulfilled his long-standing desire for martyrdom in the recent bombings. His passing is undoubtedly a significant loss for the Lebanese people. However, the nature of true liberation movements, grounded in the unwavering will of the oppressed, ensures that the loss of their leaders does not halt them. Instead, new leaders step up to fill their place and continue the struggle. This is evident today, both in Hezbollah and in Hamas, where, despite the martyrdoms of their leaders, their fight continues with renewed vigor.
“Is the morning not near?”
