In the name of Allah, the Merciful
“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Some have fulfilled their vow, others await their chance, and they have not changed in the least.”
(Surah Al-Ahzab – 23)
The bloodthirsty and illegitimate Israeli regime, committed to the annihilation of Palestine and its people, continues to enjoy the unflinching support of the United States and Europe in its criminal actions. In its efforts to crush the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance, it seeks to martyr resistance leaders like Ismail Haniyeh, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, and now, Yahya Sinwar. Yet, it remains oblivious to the fact that the axis of resistance cannot be dismantled by the assassination of its leaders. As these leaders rose from the oppressed people of Palestine and Lebanon, others would inevitably take their place, and this popular movement endures.
The Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, while extending its heartfelt condolences to the family of Sinwar and the courageous people of Palestine, honors the memory of this great martyr who dedicated his life to resisting the occupiers and embraced martyrdom as a constant possibility. The council condemns the futile efforts of the Israeli regime to continue its war, targeting innocent civilians in a bid to quash the resistance.
We urge the United States and European nations that support the mass killing of the region’s oppressed people, through their supply of deadly arms, to cease supporting the escalation of this war, which claims the lives of women and children. Instead, they must take meaningful action toward a definitive ceasefire and an end to the conflict. They should recognize that the apartheid policies of Israel cannot extinguish the flame of Palestinian resistance. Peace and security in the region can only be achieved through an end to the bloodshed, the liberation of occupied lands, the return of refugees, and the full recognition of Palestinian rights, as outlined in the referendum plan submitted to the United Nations by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
